Kate's playroom
Hi everyone... the last big project is now done. (well, almost).
Here is a pic of Kate's playroom. We have no carpet in the house so we decided to put down the foam floor for her to tumble on. The black square is a chalkboard wall for her to become the next Picasso painter or Einstein mathematician. The star in the window is from our friends J&J who recently went to Sweden and picked it up for us @ Ikea. We need to finish putting it together and put the light in it to have it light up thru all it's holes. The shelves still have some Scott stuff on them which needs to go but that's another day. We figured the big plastic bins would work well for throwing her toys into. There's more in the corners you cant see. The mirror, at Kate's level, was a wedding gift that was upstairs. I painted it with the paint from Kate's room and mounted it at a level for Kate to see herself in. Jen hung a princess costume and fairy costume on it for her to use for dress-up. The walls are "pale daffodil" but it looks quite washed out in the pic. Alot of the toys you see are yardsale goodies or from you guys. We have been very fortunate to have such good friends. Thanks everyone.

Looks like fun. Where do we sign up for the play date?! Those mats really are great. We bought a few for the living room so that Miss Lisa has something soft to land on. We had them for Lucy too. Hardwood floors look nice but the little kids don't seem to appreciate that! LOL!!
Room looks great - it's amazing what a deadline (or travel date) can do for motivation, isn't it? You're getting closer!
HEY THE ROOM LOOKS GREAT,I'm sure all three of you will spend alot of time in this room, building fond memories.....can hardly wait to see photos of her playing with all her toys.
Time sure is flying!!!!!!

Let us know if you have any free nights before you travel to get together, but I am sure you have lots to do!
