Day 2 Good Morning!
We're off to do some exploring. We need to checkout at 2 then we're off to do some organized siteseeing but until then, the morning is ours.
I got a great nights sleep and yes, the beds are HARD, but this is the first morning in a long time that I have not woke up with a sore neck. I guess I'll be bringing one of these hard mattresses home with me. jen slept OK, but not as well as I did.
One thing I found strange here is how the street in front of the hotel was so quiet last night. I woke up during the night and didnt hear a noise and not a car was to be found. Now that the sun is up and the ay has egun, its a constant stream of vehicles and honking outside our window.
Here's a shot of the road in front of the hotel @ 6AM this morning. Dead. yep, its dark and hard to see but trust me, there was hardly any traffic.
And here it is @ 8:30 once the sun is up. Alot busier.
Each room has a dorbell beside the door. I love the spelling! I've seen several examples of this already.

Could you do me a favor? My daughter is doing a little report on Christmas in China for her class, and is looking for a picture showing that they celebrate x-mas. If you happen to see a Chinese Santa or other x-mas things could you post a picture and I'll print it for her!

Boy, it brings tears to my eyes to see the view from your window. The memories are all flooding back. Being a Mom makes me a sap! LOL!! Enjoy your day. You're almost to Kate now!

Ma Rui was our guide too, but she likely wouldn't remember us since it was almost 7 yrs ago now for us. GULP!!! She's AWESOME - the best guide.
