the first bath is done

We've given her a couple of wipe downs but no mjor bath yet, so this morning was the morning. She didnt like it because she wasn't Velcro baby for those 5 minutes but the crying was no worse than what we get when we lay her down to change her. The water idnt bother her... jst not being in our arms.

We had some chaos last night as the family next to us had to check their baby in the hospital with pneumonia. Our room became command cental for phone calls back to Children's Bridge for them to get some councelling. Just reinforcement that the emergency cash fund is important. The hospital would not do anything for them until they had a $1000 deposit. Children's bridge was great and helped comfort them.

Because of that, we were late gettign Kate to bed and she went down to sleep at about 9:30 last night. One little fuss during the night but a quick caress and she was back to sleep. She slept until 6:30 this morning. 9 hours!

Glad to hear that things continue to go well for you guys. Keep us updated on your travelmate's baby. That must be very scary for them. Happy forever family day!!

Our Rachel was like that too for the first week or so. She hated being put down for any reason other than sleep. She cried like her heart was breaking when we changed her diaper and bathed her. She completely got over it though!
I'll be praying for your travelmates' little baby.
