Kate is healthy
We just got back form the doctor and Kate is healthy. HOORAY! Kates sleeping now then some some lunch then we're off to see a Chinese acrobatic show late this afternoon. This shoudl be quite interesting.
I went to use my laptop this mornign and it is not working. It was froze and when I rebooted it, it just would not boot up again. I'm in the business cetner entering this post buit pictures might be a bit tricky form here on out and quick and easy communication home will definately be trickier.
After being treated like royalty inChongqing, we're rerally not impressed with this hotel. There's no highchairs, the rooms are hot hot hot, they are slow to clean the rooms, the staff is not as nice, and generally (my opinion here) Beijing people are much ruder than the people were in Beijing. Twice this morning, I jot jostled around while trying to get food from the breakfast buffet. People just dont care.
Not a great day... we're hot, tired and now my computer is dead.

Glad to hear that Kate received a healthy report...but very dissapointed to hear that your not happy with the hotel,only a couple more days and you guys will be home in your own beds.

Hooray for Kate! Glad to hear she got a clean bill of health!
Don't forget you can open the windows in that room - we found it hot there in September and had the windows open often! And they do have high chairs...if you can stand balancing your daughter on a barstool!! LOL!!

I'm sorry that your computer froze Scott, that must be driving you CRAZY! And that's too bad that you aren't enjoying Beijing as much...you'll be home soon!

We found that leaving something is the key slot to keep the air running even when we were not there really helped. We always managed to find a highchair but sometimes we had to ask, they were well hidden.

we felt the same way about Beijing, someone even tripped Frank while we were walking to the market, they were laughing at us after we passed! Thankfully I was holding Lily.
I had to use the computer centre too while there and I found later at night to be better, not busy, I was usually the only one in the room.
Glad Kate is healthy and happy ! She is beautiful. Expecting a big storm sunday night and monday morning. YUCK!

Glad to hear Kete checked out well. We found a difference in Bejing as well. They are more "canadianized" I guess. The one thing I found great was you were more free to move about versus always being mobbed out of Bejing. Oh well soon you will be home and in your own home. Not long now!!

Yep, that's life in the big city! *grin* Our friends who are from China explained that they're basically taught from a young age in China to "push", otherwise they get no where fast in such a big population. It's a different culture, we're just not used to it. They mean no harm, it's just what they're used to.
Sorry to hear the hotel isn't up to par. Try to enjoy the last few days in Kate's birth country; this is it, you're in the home stretch!

Congratulations on becoming a family!! This is Monique from Moms' night (Mia's Mom). Kate is absolutely gorgeous!! And we are so happy for you!! I was showing Mia the video of Kate walking and she asked if that was her! Mia also would walk holding onto our fingers and never did crawl! Congratulations again!

Well we are getting dumped on here, so count yourself lucky to be where you are. In just a few days you will get to enjoy all this snow and ice we have been blessed with!! Kate is just a doll and gld to hear her medical went well! We will see you at the airport!! Well as long there are'nt any more storms!!
