lunchtime check-in

We ventured out this morning and wandered around.. you know… blending in with the locals. HEHE.

We headed "left" from the hotel and walked for about 45 minutes or so. Crossing the streets is about the biggest challenge we've ran into so far. That and all of the old men gawking at Jennifer. One old guy in a 3 wheeled motorcycle thing almost fell out trying to strike up a conversation with Jen as we were walking. Too funny!

We made it to "The Friendship Store" and browsed around there for a bit. It's a multi-level department store with everything from cigarettes to $50,000 jade sculptures. We then crossed the road and explored off the main road and ended up down by the train station. Lots of people scurrying everywhere. We then went and got some more water at the grocery store and headed back here to the hotel to grab some lunch.

We need to pack up and leave some of our luggage here while we're in Chongqing, then we head out to do some touristy things this afternoon.

Have fun guys.

Jen, it sounds like your getting use to this tourist stuff. Keep an eye on Scott, he tends to wander off from time to time. Scott, we need to see a picture of you eating street food. Just a little bite.

Dreams…

One last road to travel...
one last way to go.
One more day to forever…
just to let you know.
The wait is finally over…
the journey now is through.
And now this comes to let you know...
dreams really do come true.

hey Jen, Blake actually asked me to show him how to access this blog.....you CAN teach an old grumpy dog new tricks...your mother on the other hand I am not going to attempt, I think the voicemail traumatized her enough-ha ha ha.

Thanks for the update and phone call-sorry we missed it.

Shonda and Blake

P.S. Jen leave the old men alone.
