paperwork day - update 1

We met this morning to complete the paperwork needed to make this all official. Michael, the local guide, walked us all thru the paperwork step by step. it was very thorough and complete. Nothing was left unexplained. Lots of signatures and alot of spelling mistakes to correct. Understandable as it's been translated then translated back again.
Here's a new picture of Kate that we had not seen before. This will be the official picture for all of her paperwork.
The hotel has a playroom just down the hall from the room where we were doing the paperwork and the spouses had the babies there keeping them occupied while we did the paperwork. Here is Kate and the other 2 babies from the Heschuan orphanage. The orphanage director told us that they were all crib neighbors being all side by side, but i n an orphanage of 20+ kids, we find that hard to believe. Notice that Kate is NOT on my shoulder and she IS crying. She's making progress on this every hour but here she was crying. Back on my shoulder and the crying stops in 10 seconds.
The guides have gone off to do the final translation of the paperwork then we're all away at 1:30 to the Civil Affairs office to complete the adoption.

Comments:
That paper work frightens me probably more than any thing else(so affraid We will make a mistake, and screw it all up).

Thanks for the update and the photos(i love seeing a few of the girls together),they are all adorable,it must be really neat to see all their different personalities.

Diane, dont worry about the paperwork. They tell you EXACTLY what to put. No chance of making a mistake.

So cute to see all the girls. That is such a great hotel to have the play room - it's a little small but it was never full when we were there!

wow that playroom brings back many memories..Had no idea you guys would be staying at the holiday inn
