welcome to Toronto

We are in Toronto!.

Our flight got cancelled this afternoon and Chia from Children's Bridge went on the hunt to find us something else. @ 4:30 she called with an 8:30 flight out of Halifax. With the bad weather in Moncton and it being just as bad for most of that drive, I didn't think we could make it. At 4:45 she called again saying that there was an 8:30 from Fredericton and if we didn't make that, we might not travel until much later as there was no seats on any flight to Beijing for quite a number of days..

A quick call to family to tell them we were off then my father volunteered to drive us in their car with the nice new winter tires. At 5:30, we were off. The driving was bad Until Jemseg, then the roads became bare and it was smooth sailing. We got to the Fredericton Airport with plenty of time to spare. Thanks Dad, you really came thru to help us..

We're now checked in a hotel and are doing some repacking. We had opened up all the bags this afternoon to do some reorganizing and had to quickly close them all up when we knew we were leaving. it looks like we have everything..

So that's it... some last minute drama but we're looking good to catch the morning direct flight to Beijing. 1 checked bag and 2 carry-ons for each of us. And they all meet China's weight requirements!

Comments:
You wouldn't say DRAMA, would you? My goodness, I barely know you and I could barely sleep wondering if you made it out! I am so happy for you....love the blog updates! Best of luck!

The joys of winter. I hope the rest of the trip is uneventful - keep us all posted!!
